Go to Settings โ†’ Network & Internet โ†’ Wi-Fi. Long-press your connected Wi-Fi network and tap Modify Network.

Note: iOS DNS settings apply per Wi-Fi network. You'll need to repeat this for each network you use.

Router

Recommended โ€” protects every device on your network

  1. 1

    Access Your Router Admin Panel

Open a browser and go to your router's admin address โ€” usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1. Log in with your router credentials (often printed on the router label).

  2. 2

    Find DNS Settings

Look for WAN Settings, Internet Setup, or DNS Configuration โ€” the location varies by router brand. Common paths: Advanced โ†’ WAN โ†’ DNS or Internet โ†’ DNS Server.

  3. 3

    Enter DPF DNS Addresses

Enter your primary DPF DNS in the Primary DNS field and your secondary in the Secondary DNS field. Disable any automatic DNS from your ISP if the option is available.

  4. 4

    Save and Restart

Save the settings. Your router may restart automatically. Once back online, every device connected to your network is protected by DPF โ€” phones, TVs, laptops, everything.

Best practice: Router-level configuration is the most powerful option โ€” one change protects your entire household or office network with no per-device setup required.

Smart TV

Samsung, LG, Sony, Hisense and others

  1. 1

    Open Network Settings

Go to your TV's Settings โ†’ Network โ†’ Network Status or Settings โ†’ General โ†’ Network depending on your TV brand.

  2. 2

Select IP Settings / DNS Settings

Look for IP Settings or DNS Settings. Change DNS setting from Auto or Automatic to Manual.

  3. 3

    Enter DNS Addresses

Enter your primary DPF DNS address. If there is a secondary DNS field, enter your secondary address there too.

  4. 4

    Save and Test

Confirm and save. Run a network test from your TV settings to verify connectivity. DPF is now active on your Smart TV.

Alternative: If your Smart TV doesn't support manual DNS, configure DPF on your router instead โ€” this will automatically protect your TV and all other devices without any per-device configuration.
